  4. Institute of Music 1920-25. Among his works
  5. are the lyrical drama Macbeth 1910, Schelomo
  6. for cello and orchestra 1916, five string
  7. quartets, and Suite Hebraique, for viola and
  8. orchestra 1953. He often used themes based on
  9. Jewish liturgical music and folk song.
